Pastor Rod Dillion Sr.
Rod Dillon was born March 21, 1967 in Los Angeles, California, to Pastor E. Edward and Frankie Dillon; he is the second of three sons. As the result of being born to saved parnents Rod grew up in the church where his father pastored and he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age. In 1979 at the age of 12, Rod Dillon Sr. accepted his call to the ministry and in 1980 he preached his first public message at the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church, under the leadership of his father. God certaintly has "enlarged his territory" by allowing him to preach the Word of God throughout the country. He has preached in numerous conventions on district and national levels, held several revivals and has carried the Good News of Jesus Christ across the country. Rod Dillon worked faithfully as Youth Pastor under the leadership of his father and later became the Assistant Pastor, a position he served in for many years. He attended Southwest Bible College in Jennings, LA where he studied Christian Education. In 2002, God spoke clearly to Rod Dillon and moved him and his family to Phoenix, Arizona. In less than one year God was true to His Word. In October of 2002, Rod Dillon was installed as Senior Pastor of the St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church in Phoenix, AZ. In 2004, Pastor Dillon authored a book entitled, "The Joshua Men-tality", which has challenged all men to become the head of the house as God so ordained. Pastor Dillon has often said, "It is not a man thing, but a mind thing". In 2013 Pastor Dillon moved back to Southern California and on September 28, 2014 Pastor Dillon was called to Pastor The Community Baptist Church of Monrovia CA. On October 8, 2015 Rev. Rod Dillon was called home to be with our Lord and Savior. His homegoing was held on October 24, 2015. Rev. Rod Dillon will forever be missed but never forgotten.
